In this episode, Mike introduces five financial archetypes that reflect the nervous system’s relationship to money, pressure, and success. These archetypes reveal unconscious financial blueprints — from constant debt and scarcity, to peace, overflow, and embodied wealth. Mike walks through each archetype, their behaviors, and how to transcend them using shadow work, gratitude, and future embodiment. If you're ready to stop repeating the same financial cycles, this episode is your roadmap to freedom.

I feel like I live a pretty fascinating life and I'm comparing my life now to I guess life now to I guess what.

Speaker 1:

When I grew up, what I saw modeled for me, you know, in the people that I uh, that that loved me and that I loved, and what was modeled and exemplified for me, um, my, my own, uh, nuclear family was, you know, very blue collar union steel worker. Um, the work ethic, that you've got to work hard for your money, you've got to work endlessly and tirelessly and you got to do stuff that you hate. And work is just, you know, a whole bunch of negative effort laced with negativity and negative emotion and like you got to almost sacrifice and punish yourself. And that's work, and if it's easy it's not work, and if it's, if it's fun, that's that's not work. You got to push a little harder and I grew up in that and I had other parts of my family that you know. They, they modeled different things, like there was a whole element on my, uh, on my father's side where they, you know, I did see professionals, engineers and you know folks in in the more professional ranks and you know they had, they had money, they had, you know, some wealth and and they had nice things and we'd go down my, my aunt and uncle's house and they had a swimming pool and I loved going down there because it just felt, you know, it felt wealthy, it felt successful, it felt loving, and that was the exact opposite of what I had in my nuclear family. We didn't have a lot of money, we didn't have excess, we didn't have, we didn't even have margin, we didn't have a swimming pool. We had a very, you know, a smaller house in the middle of Baltimore city and you know there were times where three boys, my other brothers, three boys lived in one bedroom and it was very cramped and very crowded and you know the house in general was cluttered and there was one bathroom in the entire house and you had to walk through. My parents slept separate, in separate rooms, but it was a shotgun house so you had I had to walk through, you know, my mother and father's room to get to the bathroom. I mean, that's the kind of condition.

Speaker 1:

And I'm not saying we grew up poor. We always, we always had food. You know my wife, angie, she, she grew up in abject poverty and her parents were, you know, chemical addicts and they didn't have any money and they were always getting evicted from places and you know, tvs would walk in and TVs would walk out as they'd sell them for chemicals. And you know, she grew up stealing, freaking toilet paper and stealing hot dog or knocking on neighbors doors asking for hot dogs. So two different dimensions.

Speaker 1:

We didn't, I didn't grow up in poverty, I just grew up in, you know, in scarcity. We didn't have a lot and, uh, you know there were times where, I don't know it was just also full of conflict and full of, you know, full of masculine alpha toxic hormones, where you know, the way you solve problems was by throwing, throwing punches. And I actually saw, you know, my brothers and my father throw punches at each other and it just wasn't a healthy environment. But you know, I I that's what I grew up in, that's what I was used to and and I got the opportunity to, in some of those cases, recreate those environments for my wife and my kids. But at some point I got to also step out of that and now the life that I live it's very, I would say, relaxed.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot of time, freedom. There's a lot of gaps in my scheduling. I don't have back-to-back meetings, I don't have a very full calendar from week to week, from day to day, and also I have the Inner Wealth Mastermind, I have the Inner Wealth Community, I have retreats and intensives. I have a stream of income from books and I also run courses every once in a while, a couple of times a year. So different streams of income, but none of them are punishing, none of them are full of suffering, and I get a lot of time to do one of my favorite activities in the world and that's the sit and do nothing and just contemplate.

Speaker 1:

And from my sitting in, you know, stillness and silence and contemplating I get stillness and silence and contemplating I get inspired to share cool content, like models, new models of you know, I guess humanity or human behavior or psychology come to mind, and I, just you know, today, this morning, I went for a run and when I'm out running I get some of my greatest insights and inspiration, and it's from all this creative stuff that's happening inside of me that I get to share this with you, and from what I love to share with you guys and and what I love to share with my audience, what I love to share with the world, that creates streams of income. So there's no punishment, no sacrifice, no suffering involved. And this morning, over the last I guess, couple days, something's really been brewing in me and I got a new model that I want to share with you, and I've shared similar models before, but I want to put a couple concepts together. All right, I had a discussion with one of my, one of my interwealth mastermind students and we've been jamming for a couple years and we share, you know, text messages back and forth and audio messages, and you know phone calls and he's on. You know different calls that we have, whether it be the you know the mastermind, call the book study, whether it be the soul sciences, call the business, call the men's call. You know we have multiple touch points throughout the week and we've been jamming a long time and he said something to me the other day and circumstances aren't really they're not really evolving. His circumstances have kind of stayed the same and you know he's he's been getting frustrating because they're not really awesome circumstances they're. They're, they are full of struggle and they are full of stress and they are are full of scarcity and and he was sharing with me that some of this you know a little bit of frustration. But I asked him, I asked him about his meditative process and he said, yeah, I haven't been doing meditation, you know regularly. And I said, well, you know, let's get to, let's get to a meditation practice.

Speaker 1:

Man, Tomorrow morning, crack open, first thing you do when you wake up, you gotta prioritize, you gotta get into a meditative state and you gotta start to rearrange your central nervous system. Your central nervous system is exactly wired for the circumstances that you keep creating in your life and if you don't change who you are, then your circumstances aren't going to change, because your circumstances are a product of the way you think, of the way you act, of the way you behave, of the way you feel, of the choices you make, the perspectives that you have of your perceptions of reality, of your preferences. That's all your personality. And, as Dr Joe Dispenza says, your personality has created your personal reality. And until you change your personality, your personal reality will not change. So get into a meditative state. Let's start rearranging your central nervous system to create a higher level of circumstances.

Speaker 1:

And the next morning he messaged me and he said I uh, meditated today and I feel so good. And basically he was saying I feel like I can take on the world and conquer the world, that energy is shifted through his, through his body. And I asked him like that's awesome, you meditated today. Like what is your normal meditation practice? Look like, and he's like you know, I got to be honest, I don't have one, I don't. He came to a Choose your Destiny intensive and over the course of two days I have four powerful meditations and he did the meditation in that intensive. But outside of that it's not part of his normal practice. And I kind of got frustrated Because in order to rearrange something in your life, a circumstance, something inside of you must rearrange.

Speaker 1:

And it led to me seeing you know and getting a hyper sense of clarity about what the work is that needs to be done, an even deeper sense of what work needs to be done. But it also developed this archetype in mind for the financial archetype of the different people, types of people that I work with, and so him working through this or not working through this over a long period of time, it helped me understand some things that I needed to understand at a deeper level and I want to share that with you. And what I've come up with is there are five. When I look at the body and the breadth of the people that I work with, I've basically developed five archetypes, and the reason this individual helped me understand this is because, like he's, he's living the most painful of all of these archetypes, and I got to see that clearly and I got to like build from there.

Speaker 1:

So I want to share with you the five financial archetypes and I want you I'm going to share these and I've kind of given these these cheeky names. I want to see where you are. I want you to see where you are and then I want to give you the work that needs to be done to move to either the next one, or there's even one. You really you want to skip it. You probably skip all of them, but you know all the ones in the middle.

Speaker 1:

But the point being is you know you got to do something different, energetically, with who you are and with what's happening inside of your mind and body, in order to rearrange your circumstances and move to a higher level. Now, again, I'm going to remind you that your nervous system is wired exactly for the level of circumstances that you are experiencing right now. And if you want to understand how your nervous system's wired, if you want to understand what you believe, if you want to understand what's happening with you unconsciously, just take a look at your circumstances. It's that simple, okay, and you can back into, look at your patterns, look at your, look at your habits, look at things that are cycles in, cyclical in your life, and you'll be in, begin to understand what's happening in your nervous system, and then you're unconscious.

Speaker 1:

All right, but I'm gonna take you through the five archetypes and then I'm going to give you three tools that you can use to start transcending whatever archetype you're in, because the goal would be for us to reach the highest level archetype, and I'm going to tell you that most people don't know that this one actually exists and I get to see it and experience it, because my closest friend in the world is at this archetype I'm not, but he is and I want to share what that looks like the, the, the archetype that is. It's not the most prevalent in the world by any means, but it's something that's a. It's a theme that keeps showing up and I've got like maybe five or six people that's come through my life, that that live this archetype, and I'm going to I've called it the debt dweller. Now what this archetype is about. The goal of this archetype is and I'm going to I've called it the debt dweller Now what this archetype is about.

Speaker 1:

The goal of this archetype is to get back to zero, and the archetype, the patterns in this person's life, is, as soon as they get back to zero, they spend money on something that in the future, that in the future they have this idea, this concept that by spending more money, they're going to transcend, not just get to zero, but they're going to start creating some margin in their life. So they invest in things with the hope of getting some margin, but in reality, the cycle is they go negative so far that when they make, uh, when they break through. I guess you know, and, and they, they actually, uh, get on the other side of the debt. They'd simply get back to zero. Now, sometimes it's an investment property. They'll get back to zero.

Speaker 1:

I've had people that they, they, they get an investment property, they start spending money, get an investment property, they start spending money on the investment property. It takes them, you know, 60, 70, $80,000 in the hole. They put money back, they sell it and then they pay off their investors, they pay off suppliers, and they get back to zero. Then they go out and buy another investment property thinking it's going to get them above zero. They go through the same thing and they repeat this cycle over and over and over and over. I call these folks the debt dollars. This is also, you know, on the interwealth community call.

Speaker 1:

This morning we were talking about the same thing with investing in education. There are a lot of gurus out there that will encourage you to lay down $35,000, $40,000, $50,000. And when you're at zero and you, you spend money and you go, you know 50 K in the hole, then maybe some of the some of the frigging teachings just get you back to zero. But you're built and energetically designed to get back to zero. It's in your nervous system. It's in your nervous system. Your nervous system is built in that moment to be a debt dweller. So everything is going to bring you back to a state of debt, because that's where your nervous system knows how to operate and is most familiar. Now I hope you, listening to this, are not a debt dweller. But if you are, stand by, because I'm going to give you some tools to help you move beyond this. But the first awareness is, if you are a debt dweller, you need to understand that you are and it's an unconscious pattern that you're living in, because your central nervous system is wired to be a debt dweller and everything in your life is to bring you back to zero. That's your target and your aim. It's unconscious, okay?

Speaker 1:

The second archetype I've labeled is the tightrope walker, and this is the person. This is pretty prevalent in society. This is the person living paycheck to paycheck, living week to week, month to month, and they might go a little bit below zero. They might go a little bit above zero, but in reality, when there's a little bit above zero, they spend it. When there's a little bit below zero, they make more money and they hover around this zero threshold. They don't have a whole lot. They have just enough to survive, to live, to pay their bills, to eat, but not a whole lot more than that. They're tightrope walkers, they're geniuses at and it looks like they're a victim of always just walking in this tightrope. But in reality when they go a little bit below zero, their fight, flight or freeze and fawn or whatever their primitive nature kicks in and it gets them into action and they do some stuff and then they start to make some money. Then, when they get a little bit above zero, their body relaxes and then they spend money and they get back to zero because they're unconsciously wired to walk the tightrope, to be a tightrope walker. They don't go real far in depth, but they don't have any sense of margin in their life.

Speaker 1:

Okay, there's a lot of people living in this. Now I'm going to be honest. This next one this is where me and Angie live and this is where me and Angie have. We've tasted the uh, a higher level, but we weren't built to hold it. The third level is the margin manager and and it's we have margin in our life, we have extra, we have, we have margin, we have room to breathe. We don't walk the tight rope, we don't taste the zero, we never get back to zero, get back to zero when we even come close to getting close to zero.

Speaker 1:

Then a deal shows up. A student shows up, something unconscious happens, something that we weren't expecting happens, shows up to jump us back up because we are wired. Our nervous system, our money blueprint, is wired for margin and there's a difference between margin and overflow, margin and excess. But really what we're talking about is there's margin in our lives, we can breathe, we're never walking a tightrope and we don't go into debt. And some of the debt that we do accrue is productive debt, where our debt is actually making us money and that making the money on debt is actually giving us some margin in our life. And then our interwealth mastermind, our book sales, our interwealth community, all the things that all the streams of income give us margin. We don't necessarily break through to overflow Margin manager. And this morning, on my interwealth community call, I said I said who you know when I explained the margin manager, one of the guys even raised his hand and said yeah, that's me Like.

Speaker 1:

As soon as it starts getting, the margin starts going away, something happens, it kicks in and the margin starts to build itself again. Because you're built. All of these the debt dweller, the tightrope walker, the margin manager, they're all all of these archetypes are built. It's your money blueprint, your financial blueprint, and that's inside your central nervous system, inside your nervous system. It's your financial internal calibration and that's inside your central nervous system, inside your nervous system. It's your financial internal calibration. It's your thermostat, it's your blueprint, it's how you're wired right now. And if you want to break out of the debt dweller, if you want to break out of the tightrope walker, if you want to break out of the money manager or the margin manager, you got to do something different.

Speaker 1:

The fourth level, and this one seems a little better, but I want to. I want to explain how I know that this, this blueprint, matters, or this archetype matters, or or is, is, is, is actually alive in the world. This blueprint is, is the, is the overflow, it's the, the overflow person, but they're not enjoying it. You can call them the stressed success, and that's the archetype the stressed success. They have overflow in their life, but their body doesn't feel the overflow. Their body doesn't feel at peace in the world. They are the stressed success. They have created success in the world. They have created success in business. They have created success. They look successful but they don't feel successful. They feel like it's all about to fall apart their nervous system. They know how to make money, they're wired to make money, but they're not wired to enjoy it, to appreciate it, to feel it, to live at peace and at one with it. They're still meant to be at war. They're wired to feel like it's just going to fall apart at any given time.

Speaker 1:

And I was having a conversation with one of these guys a couple weeks ago. A stressed success. And you watch him and you get the impression that he's got it all figured out and he's successful. But he still wakes up in panic attacks and he's still anxious and he's still not enjoying it. And as soon as he gets to a level, it's like he needs to get to the next level because he can't. His body refuses to feel safe. Level four might look awesome and certainly it gives you the material abundance, the material overflow, but it doesn't give you the inner peace, the inner harmony, the inner joy that you're looking for. Only archetype number five does, and I've labeled this the money monk.

Speaker 1:

Now let me tell you about the money monks that I know, because I know a couple of them and one of them is very near and dear to my heart. I see them. People in the local St Louis area know him. He's my closest friend. His name is Brian Schroeder. He's got peace of mind. He's got peace in his body. His nervous system is relaxed.

Speaker 1:

When I asked him the other day if he ever gets like it feels internal pressure, he said I used to, but he's worked through it, he's released it. He's let it go that signature. But he's worked through it, he's released it. He's let it go. That signature, that energetic makeup, is no longer in existence. He's rewired his internal being to enjoy the wealth that he's created. And he has created immense wealth. And not only is he wealthy on the outside, he's wealthy on the inside. And that's why my business's name is inner wealth, because I'm, after I wake up every day to experience being a money monk, and my longest standing client.

Speaker 1:

I've been working with this person six or seven years. When they first came to me, they had the wealth, they had the success, they had the overflow, but their body wasn't wired to receive it, to experience it, to feel it. And over the course of six, seven years, we've done the emotional work, the energetic work, the nervous system work. So not only do they experience the material wealth and abundance in the outside world, they feel it on the inside world and they know how to bring themselves back to this state of unity and harmony and wholeness and completeness, but it requires internal work, not just external work. Now, where are you on that continuum? You've got the debt dweller, you've got the tightrope walker, you've got the margin manager, you've got the stressed success and you've got the money monk. Where are you on that continuum?

Speaker 1:

There are three things that are going to move the needle and move you from one element to another, move you from one archetype to another. But you got to set your sights on it and you've got to do this energetic work. There are three time periods that we have to address in order to move from archetype to archetype. We have to address the past, we have to address the present and we have to address the future, and if you leave any of these out, there will be something missing. There will be an energetic struggle, state, a stressor, some kind of missing piece inside that you're gonna be looking for. In order to address the past. We must do shadow work. And shadow work is if there's internal conflict, if there's internal insecurity, if there's inadequacy, if there's insignificance, if there's scarcity in your life, if there's money pressure in your life, then there's pressure inside of you that's creating that money pressure. If there's a gap inside of you, there's a gap outside of you. If there's a conflict inside of you, it's showing up outside of you and it's going to show up in which archetype you're living out Now.

Speaker 1:

Shadow work I've presented in the past. I've presented the drill method. It's getting into an old experience. If you haven't read inner world, outer world, grab a copy. I explain samskaras and letting go and that's what this requires. There's also a chapter, a whole chapter, on shadow work. It's getting into the, the experiences and the events and the traumas and the painful spaces, the experiences that have created these struggle beliefs, created these struggle stories, created these struggle emotional patterns that have built a nervous system on pain. And I was listening to a book the other day and it said people think trauma are these big events and trauma is just anything where your body is on high alert, looking out for a repeat of a past experience and is looking and does everything it can to prevent that from happening again, even when the likelihood of it happening again is zero. And if you know any real estate investors that lived through the 2008 and 2010, that time period, likely they're still building a business around that event, around that experience, and that's why they're not in the money monk state. They might be in the stressed success state but they haven't moved to the money monk because they're still reliving 2008 to 2010 over and over and over again.

Speaker 1:

Shadow work and the drill method will help you feel that pain in your body, feel the anxiety, feel the fear, feel all of it. Bring yourself back to those events that caused you to feel that, caused you to experience it, and drop into your body and feel it. Recognize what's happening in your body and amplify it. Inquire why are you here? Where did you come from? What are you trying to teach me? Listen to your body, listen to it, tell you the story of why it exists and then finally breathe deeply and let it go. Drill, drop into your body, recognize what's there and amplify it. Inquire, listen to your body, listen to your nervous system, listen to the fear, listen to the anxiety and then let it go. And when you let it go, your nervous system will rewire itself around a greater sense of peace instead of the old conflict that you're living from the past.

Speaker 1:

And if you repeat this over and over, every time you feel some painful emotion, or even proactively, when you go into your body to experience the pain and the anxiety that you normally feel, over time your body will start to become emptier and emptier of the pain and it'll be replaced by a higher sense of freedom and fulfillment and purpose and love and abundance. But we must address the past, because your body right now is likely living in the past, especially if you're creating the same pattern over and over again. The second time period we need to address is the present moment and a healthy gratitude practice being grateful for the money that you do have in the bank, the love that you do have in your life, the food that you do have in your refrigerator, the roof that you do have over your head, the water that comes out of your faucet, the health that you do experience, the pets that you have in your life, the material goods that you have now Bring in yourself. Whenever you start to feel a sense of anxiety, you can bring yourself to the perfection of the present moment and anchor and ground your body in gratitude that the present moment is perfect and it's complete and whole and you need nothing and you deserve everything. But your body is in a sense of fight or flight. And if you bring yourself back to gratitude, you will anchor to the present moment and some of that anxiety will let go. And as the anxiety lets go, there'll be less to deal with in the future.

Speaker 1:

And then there's the future state, and I love to call this a future embodiment practice. And this is what the Secret 7, I'm pointing to on video. I'm pointing to these books up here right above my head, and on audio. You can't see it. But think and grow rich, the science of getting rich, breaking the habit of being yourself as a man, thinketh, the strangest secret, the secrets of the millionaire mind. All of these books say the same thing.

Speaker 1:

When you visualize the life that you you're looking to create and you feel that energy in your body, you feel the future state as it already exists, as if it does already exist, and you let your mind begin to see yourself as your new self and you allow your body to feel your new state, those new circumstances, your nervous system will literally begin to expand and rewire itself around this future that you're looking to create. And if you always think about what you feel currently and you feel what you think about, you're going to stay stuck here. But when you start to see a higher level future and feel a higher level sense of embodiment of that future, then your nervous system is going to expand and open up to accept, to receive and to allow those circumstances to come into your life. But as long as your body is wired for your current circumstances, you'll keep inviting and attracting the same outcomes and circumstances over and over and over, because we live in an unlimited universe. But the only limitation we have is in our nervous system and if your nervous system will not feel safe in a new circumstance, it will push it away and it will keep it away from you. And that's why I say that I'm in the third phase the money, the margin manager.

Speaker 1:

We did start to feel overflow a year, year and a half ago, angie and I did start to feel overflow and you know what I got to realize that my body wasn't quite yet wired to receive overflow. It wasn't quite yet ready to receive and feel safe in that level of overflow so it made it go away. And that's what self-sabotage is. It's when your new circumstances can't safely live in the nervous system and it feels unsafe. It feels unfamiliar and it makes it go away. Because your nervous system has one job only to keep you alive and unfamiliar circumstances that feel safe did not give your central nervous system, your nervous system, the ability to feel safe that it can keep you alive, so it pushes the circumstances away, unconsciously, through unconscious self-sabotage.

Speaker 1:

And future embodiment work is seeing your new future and allowing your body to start rewiring itself now to feel safe with those new circumstances. And as your nervous system expands, so will your circumstances. That the inner wealth mastermind student that I had that conversation with when he wasn't doing the somatic work, when he wasn't doing the nervous system work. No wonder the same circumstances kept repeating over and over, because that's all his nervous system would allow. He adds a healthy meditative practice into his life, his circumstances, his nervous system will start to shift, he'll start to feel safe in different circumstances and his body and his mind will start to allow and accept and hold those new circumstances. This is all deep, deep nervous system somatic work. And that's why my business is called Inner Wealth, because without a sense of inner wealth, it's only a matter of time before your external wealth either well, you won't create it, or if you have it, you'll make it go away, and I know that firsthand. I've lived that experience.

Speaker 1:

Team, five archetypes debt dweller, the type of walk, the Margin, manager, the Stress, success, balanced and a, I guess you can say, secure, harmonized way, where you take advantage of everything that the present moment offers. And by sitting in your future state, sitting in the future and embodying the mind and the emotions of the person that you're becoming. When you practice all three of these, you will level up in which archetype you're living, in which archetype your body will allow. I hope this has been helpful. Speaker 1:

Live intensive is coming up November 14th, 15th, right outside of St Louis, missouri. They're great, great containers where I start to teach you the shadow work and the future embodiment work and take you on a meditative journey. We do a lot, a lot, a lot of somatic work in those two, two days and I'd love that, always entertaining uh, new, higher level, higher level members of the Inner Wealth Mastermind, so that we can all level up together. All right, if any of this sounds good, let me know. Reach out to me. At a minimum, grab a copy of Inner World, outer World, because it'll only change your life if you do all the exercises in it. I love you and I'll see you next week. If you enjoyed what you heard and you want to learn more, go to wwwinnerwealthglobalcom for more tools and resources.
