Send me a Text Message!

In this episode, Mike explores the hidden energetic truth behind the words “yes” and “no” — not just in your external decisions, but in your internal alignment. Through powerful stories, lived experiences, and embodiment of the Gene Keys, he reveals how trust, resistance, and commitment shape your reality. This is a raw and radiant conversation about creation, surrender, and what becomes possible when you stop forcing life and start saying yes to what you truly want.

Key Takeaways

  1. You’re Always Saying Yes or No — Even When You’re Silent
Every thought, emotion, and belief is either aligned with your desire… or with your resistance.
  2. Trusting Life Is a Practice, Not a Personality Trait
Mike didn’t always trust life — but experience taught him that life becomes supportive when you stop fighting it.
  3. Creation Requires Clarity, Certainty, and Commitment
This three-part formula is how you energetically become a match for what you desire.
  4. You Are Always Creating — Whether You Know It or Not
Saying “no” to your desires (by aligning with fear or doubt) is still a form of creation — just one you don’t want.
  5. Life Is an Ally — But You Have to Let It Be
When you stop getting in the way, life starts delivering what you’ve been wanting all along.

Do you ever wake up feeling like there's something missing in your life? Do you ever feel the need to escape your business? Are you running your life or is your life running you? I'm like Kit Kill when I'll help you design and create a life so authentic and aligned with who you really are, you'll get excited just to wake up. I'll help you create real wealth, accept, and freedom from the inside out. Welcome to the Inner Wealth Podcast, where we learn and choose to live inspired each and every day. I've seen enough, enough synchronicities, enough, and I'm air quoting for anybody watching, you can see it, but anybody listening, you can't. So I'm telling you, I'm air quoting these coincidences that happen in life. I've seen enough of them to realize that that they are not coincidences, and synchronicity is real. And life is I I've I've come to to a higher level of understanding, and I'm deepening daily my level of trust that life is supportive when we allow life to support us by trusting it. And I've I'm deepening my trust. Now, trust hasn't been trusting life hasn't been easy for me. And I find myself, I find myself, yeah, I'll be sitting on the couch and I'm living right now. My wife Angie and I are lit literally living the life that you know 10 years ago, that nine years ago when we when we actually did our vision planning, uh, we we created and designed this life that we're living right now. We designed it nine years ago. Ten years ago, I would have told you that none of this was was possible. Not the life that I'm living, none of it's possible because I was skeptical and I was pessimistic about life, and I didn't, I didn't understand the the power of creation, and I didn't understand the power of energy and frequency and vibration. I didn't understand the spiritual world, I didn't understand any of that, and I didn't understand life felt like it was a constant battle. I didn't trust life, and I didn't think life was supportive. I looked at life as an adversary instead of an ally. And now I'm not gonna say I'm 100 out of 100. Um this is this is always a work in process, but over time I've deepened my trust of life, and life has shifted from being a complete adversary to a deeper level of me understanding and realizing how much of an ally life is. And these little coincidences and these little things that happen, they they help us see, even even if they're small, they may seem super insignificant, but even when they're small, they are their notes from love notes from God, source, universe, life, whatever you want to call that magnificent creator. These these things are love notes from the the the mystical realm to let us know that life is supportive. And let me give you a couple uh examples. I was uh I was I was on Facebook and I'm scrolling and I'm I I get to one of my friends. He he he's actually he's actually been on this podcast episode or this podcast, and I've interviewed him, and his name's Wesley Hoffman, all right? And and an amazing guy, a great punk rocker. He's uh I because I'm a I'm a 1990s punk rock guy, but anyway, he's he's living the lifestyle and he he's been ramping up his uh songwriting, he's been ramping up everything that he does in the world. In fact, the intro music to inner the inner wealth podcast is Wes Hoffman and Friends, and that's that's Wes, right? So he's been ramping up his his songwriting and it's it's it's really getting good. And he was already a good songwriter, but now he's becoming an exceptional songwriter. Go look him up. And I was scrolling Facebook and he uh he's getting ready to release a new single, a new song. And it there was uh an early release before his new album comes out, early release, and I clicked on the link to listen to it. And the song is exceptional, and it got it's really complex. The uh the the songwriting, the technical skill that uh that Wes incorporates in into this is uh it's exceptional, and he just keeps getting better, and the band keeps getting better. And this is why they're touring all over the United States and they play all in cities all over the United States and Canada. But anyway, the other day I listened to that song, and I immediately picked up my phone and I texted Wes and I said, Hey man, your songwriting skills are getting better. You're I loved the the song, and I I loved I love seeing your growth. And he literally responded a second later, said, Mike, literally, I was just sitting here thinking about you. Now, I don't talk. Wes and I don't talk a lot. We still we stay in contact, you know. I I'm watching him, he watches me. But it had probably been a year, year and a half or so since we've really talked and connected and and shared any meaningful conversation. So for him to just be thinking about me in that instant that I messaged him, that is the kind of love note from the universe that that lets you know that hey, life is supportive. And I was I was sitting on my uh sitting on my laptop and I was doing some work uh for some some marketing work uh yesterday. And I I immediately thought of one of my interwealth mastermind students. His name is Scott. We call him Wink. What up, Wink? And I literally thought of Scott, and at that moment a uh a notification came on my laptop that Scott Winkleman had sent me a message, a text message, and that was like two in one week. Now I've got evidence of things like this happening all over, and some small and some larger, some as inconsequential as a message from Wes, a thought and a message from Wes, a thought and a message from or a thought and a message from me to Wes, and a thought and a message to uh from Wink. I've got bigger ones uh where where you see how when we don't get in the way of of the the universe and the creation process, you can see how supportive life is. Like I tell the story constantly. Two two my wife and Angie and I have made two significant moves during the course of our marriage. And we had a conversation. Uh, we had a conversation. We our our our older daughter at that time was just, it seemed like she was only just a few weeks old, if not just a month or two old. And it was Easter time, and we took uh we took I'm from Baltimore, Maryland, and and Angie's from Alexandria, Virginia. So it was our first real holiday with our daughter. And on Easter, we took, we took uh my daughter to uh her her dad's house, uh Angie's dad's house, and my family's house, and then we took her to, you know, their her aunts our aunt's house. And it's like we were driving all over and we came back home and we're we're we're uh in in our house and we're in a bedroom. And I remember vividly Angie saying, you know what, it would be really, really awesome if we could just get away from family for a while and just focus on our little family and not do that chaos of a holiday again. And a couple of days later, I was uh I was working in uh Gathersburg, Maryland, and for a company that that ultimately I ended up working for for 13 years. But uh that a couple days later, I got called into we, the the whole place, uh probably a hundred people got called into a conference room and where they told us they were they were moving our operation from Gathersburg, Maryland to the home office of Beaverton, Oregon. And they were going to invite a few of us to to move along and and to to move uh locations and to uh bring the product line from our Gathersburg office to the Beaverton, Oregon office. And I was one of they they invited five, two declined, but I was one of three people to move out there. And it you can't you can't make that up. You really can't make that up. How easy, and like when I say life is supportive, our our closing costs were paid for on our house, our that they moved our entire uh all of our material possessions, they moved our cars, they put us up in a corporate apartment, they gave us money for you know for whatever to pay, I don't know, for expenses that might we might incur. So we made money on the move. And then a couple years later, we you know, we were living in in Portland, Oregon, and uh actually I was working in uh in Portland, Oregon. We lived in a place called Hillsboro, Oregon. And uh Angie said the girls were getting our girls, our two, it just now now we had two, our girls were getting ready to go into middle school. And Angie said, you know what? I don't want to live in Portland. No, no offense, Portland, but you know, that wasn't a place we wanted to live the rest of our life. Uh Angie said, I don't want to live in Portland for the rest of my life. And if we're gonna move, we got to move before these girls get into middle school. And they were they were in the year before middle school. And it wasn't like but a couple days later that my phone started lighting up with recruiters seeking me out to come and run their operation. And I literally over the next over the course of a couple months, we interviewed in San Diego and and up in uh the northeast and Chicago and St. Louis. And we ultimately, you know, chose St. Louis, which is right outside of St. Louis, which is where we live right now. Again, another corporate move paid both uh closing costs on the house, moved all our material possessions, put us up in corporate housing. Uh, we made money on the move, both easy, super effortless, super awesome, super fun moves that didn't require a lot of stress, struggle, and and you know, anxiety on our part. But we got what we wanted. What I've learned over the course of my life is when we don't get in the way of life, life brings us what we need. And and as I ramp up for the next Choose Your Destiny Live Intensive, which is November 14th and 15th, where where I teach the creation process and we do the meditative and energetic and somatic work to raise our frequency and vibration to become a match for what we want so that it shows up into our life. As I ramp up, I'm I'm I'm focusing a lot more on the my ability to create and how to teach this at a higher level, how to how to uh practice with folks at a higher level, how to how to walk those, walk everybody, my students through uh energy practices and energy techniques and energy uh exercises in order to raise frequency vibration. Um, as I ramp this up, I'm I'm I'm contemplating it a lot more. And on my run this morning, uh I ran five miles. It was a beautiful, beautiful day here right outside of St. Charles or St. Louis, Missouri, in St. Charles, Missouri. Beautiful day, and the run felt amazing. And as I as I was running, I get some of my greatest awarenesses on my runs as I'm moving my body and moving my ass. I had this insight that we are always saying yes and no to everything. Yes or no to everything. Now, if you've ever studied the soul, soul sciences, I've talked about the gene keys and human design on uh in astrology on this podcast. But I am a an avid student of the gene keys, and I teach the gene keys and I teach how to study gene keys in a mastermind, the inner wealth mastermind. And in the sphere of life's work, I have gene key 29, which is uh the shadow of half-heartedness, it's the gift of commitment, and it's the the highest, the enlightened version of devotion. And my life, my life's work is about shifting my energy and shifting the way I show up from half-heartedness. If you've ever heard me say 99% commitment equals zero zero commitment, that's what I'm talking about. It's not being committed, not having my energy fully engaged, not being fully committed and energetically engaged in uh in a single direction, in a focused direction. Whenever we're half-hearted, whenever we're not committed, we don't bring all of our energy to it. But when we get committed and we bring all of our energy to it, it it actually creates luck in this world and it creates synchronicity and it creates support. But we must bring all of our energy and in the creation process of clarity, certainty, and commitment, that's what I'm talking about. It's bringing all of our energy, 100% of it, not 99%, 100% of our energy to the intention that we set through the clarity and not giving up on it until it shows up. That's what I'm talking about. It's it's that 29th gene key that I've been working on for my entire life. And within the 29th gene key, it always also talks about the what learning what to say yes and no to. And in my studies, I've always thought that saying yes and no to things is really things outside of me. But what had hit me on the run today was the things that matter most that we're saying yes and no to are happening inside of us. They're in our beliefs, they're in our thoughts, they're in our intentions, they're in our emotions. And we're either saying yes to our desires or to our dread, our desires or our doubt. We're we're we're either saying yes to uh what we want or to what we don't want. And we can see this, and I see this playing out. I always see this playing out myself, that I'll cycle through these desire states where my energy will lock in on something, and it'll actually it actually gets created in my life without a whole lot of lot of effort or stress or struggle, just like those two moves, just like wink messaging me when I thought about them. There was no resistance there. There was no resistance there. There was no no. There was no there was no questioning of whether I could have it or not. It was just it was there. My energy was committed. I was I was clear that I we wanted to move. I was I was certain that eventually we would move. And then I was committed. My energy was 100% engaged in the move. I never withdrew my energy from the clarity that I had in the fact that we wanted to move. And because of that creation process, clarity, certainty, and commitment. Months later, just a few months later, we were in another destination, in another home, in another place that that we chose to move to. It wasn't forced, it wasn't inflicted, but we were we were it was we were chosen or we chose to to move there because that's ultimately what we wanted. We just didn't get in the way of it. We just didn't get in the way of it. And last week I played around with this. And and I would I would invite you to play around with these things a little bit. Play around with them and see how they work for you. Do do some small things, do some big things. When I go out on my run, I look for I look for a coin, I look for, I look for money. And sometimes I I get a penny, sometimes I get a nickel, sometimes I get a dime, sometimes I get a quarter. One time I got$22. But when I don't look for coins and I don't look for money, I typically don't find it. But when I look for it, set the intention, I I typically find coins more times than not. And I've told that story on this podcast. I did a whole episode about my coin journey on my run. Play around with this. You are way more powerful of a creator than you could ever imagine. But you've got to play around with it. And as you build trust in your ability to create what you want, then the resistance will subside. And when there's no resistance, your outcome will be more certain over time because you're trusting life, you're trusting the supportive nature of life, and you're you're choosing to see life as an ally and not an adversary. Everything that you've ever gotten in your life that you wanted was because you chose to side with life as an ally instead of an adversary. You stopped pushing against it, you stopped trying to force it. Contemplate this. You allowed it instead of forcing it. And sometimes when we try to force something so much, eventually we give up. And sometimes, as soon as we give up and we let go and we're released on it, then it shows up because the resistance is gone. We were still clear we wanted it, but we just let the resistance vanish. And that's what happens when the resistance goes away, then then we what we want shows up because our again, over the last couple episodes, I've talked about this. We don't always get what we want because we get what we expect, and we get to we get the the expectation that we have for what's available to us and what'll show up is built upon our level of deservedness. And when our level of deservedness matches our expectation or or increases our expectation, and our expectation equals and matches what we want, when the resistance goes away, it'll show up. Clarity, certainty, and commitment. Get clear about what you want, let go of any disturbance inside of you that has you in any state of worry, doubt, and fear. Say yes to only yes to what you want, and no to everything else, including worry, doubt, and fear, and take inspired action, remain patient in the process. Any sign of impatience means that there's resistance. And then ultimately, when it shows up, take receipt and you'll see that anything and everything is available to you, but you've got to learn to trust the process over time. I'm still learning to trust the process, but I'm working with larger and larger things all the time to build that ultimate trust and that ultimate resolve. And think about how stress-free life would be if you knew and you trusted your power to create anything you wanted because you expected to be able to. Think of how stress-free life would get. Because what you needed would no longer be in jeopardy. And then you could have fun with desire instead of fighting against desire. Guys, I hope this is helpful. I'm ramping up for the next Choose Your Destiny Live Intensive. If you've ever wanted to come and do some work with me, November 14th and 15th, just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, in a small in a in a county called uh St. Charles, Missouri.
